New release available now on Traxsource.com
Kimani Wilson (Jody Watley, Strictly Rhythm, i! Recordings, Ebony Sky, etc.) and vocalist La Veda (Tricky, Undah Dub, etc.) tap into Miami roots and then some with their offering "This is What You Give (Higher Love)." The "Miami Grit" mix brings a stripped down, Miami style goodness that is tailor made for lovers of that classic sound. The funky, percussive, sun-drenched swing of the "Sunrisemoon Dub" provides warm, feel good vibes, while the "Cool Summer" dub offers up a hypnotic/repetitive, slow-burn version of the tune! Available now exclusively on Traxsource.com. Coming soon to Juno Download and other fine online stores.

Details: Kimani Wilson offers up a dreamy collage of late night grooves and sun drenched soundscapes on his release
Sunrise Moonrise - the Groove Sessions. Light vocals, deep chords, percussion, sparse guitar, and spacey synths set the tone for most of the album. Drawing upon the influences of early 80's R&B, jazz/lounge, house, dub, and other styles, this collection blends primarily electronic instrumentation with the organic. Listeners will find that the emphasis of this collection is on warm grooves and contemplative moods. Last heard in an album format with his production of Whenever on Jody Watley's Midnight Lounge album (joining the company of King Britt, Masters at Work, Ron Trent, and Dave Warrin.), Kimani's material on Sunrise Moonrise is a futher expression of the late night vibes explored in that tune.
